Brother Michael

At the time of our graduation from Cathedral, Brother Michael (full religious and birth name unknown), was one of the younger Brothers on the Cathedral faculty. He had just finished his fourth full year at Cathedral. He attended De Paul University in Chicago, Illinois and St. Mary's University in Winona, Minnesota where he earned a Masters in Education in both History and Education. After completion of his formal education, Brother Michael taught at Alamo Catholic High School in Amarillo, Texas, at St. Michael’s High School in Santa Fe, New Mexico, at Archbishop O'Hara High School in Kansas City, Kansas and Christian Brother’s High School in Memphis Tennessee. While at Cathedral High School, he taught both Religion and English. He will always be remember with his blackboard journals that we expected to be reduced into written form by each of his students. His stated aspiration for his students was that one of us would grow up to be his “50th Boy.”
